Microsoft has so far kept its Xbox 360 and Xbox One marketplaces separate, with content on one console unable to buy from another.This marks the first time the company has implemented cross-platform purchases in this manner. Meanwhile, Microsoft announced a new Xbox 360 preview program, similar to the ongoing Xbox One dashboard beta.The new option, nestled within the Xbox 360's Games with Gold section, allows users to build up a library of Xbox One games even if they don't yet have the machine.Gold subscribers could already "purchase" free games for Xbox One via the web, but this is the first time Microsoft has enabled the option directly via console.) it’s because nine of the games that have just received backwards compatibility support were already available on the Xbox One store anyway and therefore already part of our list. The arrival of backwards compatibility improves the available games on the console by 27%, although it still falls short of the titles available for the Xbox One’s rival console.The Play Station 4 recently passed the 500 game mark, and as of November 12, 2015, that total has now reached 521.The team is continuing to refine and evolve the feature so we can gather the feedback we need while it’s in preview to make sure it’s a great experience when it rolls out broadly.The team is also still working hard to ship several other features to the broader community, including the ability to select the audio input and output sources for Party chat on the Xbox app for Windows 10, Kinect auto-zoom for Beam and Twitch broadcasts, and Captive Portal support for wireless internet on your Xbox One.
